Old channel list after installing new DVBviewer 3.8

I just installed the new version of DVBViewer, and when I started it, all my channels and favorites had suddenly gone back to a months old version. I copied my most recent channels.dat from a backup folder I made before installing the new version, but that made no difference whatsoever. Where is the new version getting the channels and favorites from?

You have to put your channels.dat and Favourites.xml in the Configuration folder (About>Configuration folder) will DVBViewer is not ruining.
