LearningCurve Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I have a Hauppauge HVR-950 usb ATSC tuner with BDA drivers. It scans and works ok with DVBViewer. I can't figure out how to use it to scan with Transedit. I have an hd channel that is broadcast at 533Mhz with a bandwidth of 6Mhz. DVBViewer can scan it. It is entered as 533000. There is only 5 digits in Transedit, so I tried entering 533 but it dosn't find the channel. Analyze finds nothing. What an I doing wrong? Is there any way to scan the entire range without entering each frequency manually? THANKS! Quote

It appears that when entering the frequency for atsc, transedit is expecting Khz, not Mhz. However this is a problem. To enter 557 Mhz as Khz, I need to enter 557000. This cannot be done since transedit will only allow me to enter 5 digets. I have confirmed this and found a workaround. If I enter some frequencies as Mhz and save the entry, I can edit the ini file and add the extra 0's. Then transedit will scan and find the data stream. Quote
Griga Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 It appears that when entering the frequency for atsc, transedit is expecting Khz, not Mhz. Which version do you use? 3.1.0 (see members area) expects MHz and allows to enter more digits, e.g. something like 201.333. Quote

Well, it appears that I am using 3.0.8.0 For the life of me, I don't know how I wound up with this version! Thanks for the heads up, I am downloading 3.1.0.1 now. Thanks! Quote
