ok...i installed and adjusted DVBViewer using the available tutorials and forums...i'm using cyberlink h.264 decoder for watching DVBt programs in my area...everything else i adjusted according to tutorial...the picture is fine...the problem starts when i try to record...DVBViever only records in ts format

regardless of my attempts to adjust the mpg format in recorder options...further more, when i try to open the resulting ts file it shows only Found 1 MPEG audio stream (PVAstrumento)...the ts file contains only audio stream without video...any suggestions

windows xp service pack 2

pentium 4 3.0 ghz

1.00 GB of RAM

ATI RADEON 9600 256 mb

You installed a H.264 Decoder... so I guess you try to record H.264 streams, right? H.264 is MPEG4 and not MPEG2, so PVAStrumento won't be able to handle it, no matter in what container you'll change it...

DVBViewer only supports *.ts recording for H.264 streams. You could use TSPlayer to transcode it into an mpeg PS file, but it will be of little use, because normal MPEG2 applications won't handle it anyway :bye:

Try to play the recording with DVBViewer or TSPlayer, and you'll see if there is a video stream or not.

My players will play the video, but not the audio.

What I would really like is to encode it to mpeg2.

Can anyone help us please?

I suppose audio is AAC and you don't have any AAC decoder.

If you don't have this decoder ,you will never re-encode audio.

Pls give us some more info on your HW , filters, players you use, etc
