Hi All, im new to all this and need a bit of help. I was reading through the forum and found this:

http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...&pid=118595

and was very very interested in Girga post saying:

Is was introduced for DVB-S channels that dynamically switch over to different video / audio streams. That means: Service ID and PMT PID remain the same, video and audio PID change on the fly

I have this problem with a couple of STB’s from different manufactures they were both standard FTE STB’s but one has had the firmware re-written to auto update audio & video pids, question is can someone tell me how I can get the standard STB to auto change the pids when they are changed in the TS the same as the moded STB does ??

Thanks

Steve

Not without a firmware update provided by the vendor / manufacturer.

The usual work-around is to store the different PID settings as two channels in the channellist and to switch over manually.

Thanks, but the problem with that is the pids never change back to the same as they was before, they change them every now and again and the new pids could be anything

Thanks

Steve
