faminoff Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Hello, I've just bought a second Dig TV card for my computer to be able to watch and record simultanously. I just don't know how to take it into use I have the following: - Windows Vista Premium - First card: Terratec Cinergy 1200 DVB-C Tuner - Second (new) card: Technotrend C-1500 - DVBViewer version 3.8.0.0 What I've done: - set the new card in a free PCI slot - downloaded and installed the latest (beta) drivers and software for Vista from Technotrend - been able to use the card with the Technotrend software - the card is listed in the Hardware list of DVBViewer Now what? - how do I use the new card in the DVBViewer? - do I have to scan the channels for the new card first or does it use the same channel settings as the Terratec card? - can I choose which card I am using? - should I use the recording service or the DVBViewer recorder when recording? Thankfull for your kind answers. BR Dosse Quote
Tjod Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 If you could restive the same channels with both cards there is no need for a new channel scan. It should work with both recording possibility's. PiP use the second card in 3.8.0.0 not. But it will be included in the next version (current Beta). Quote
faminoff Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 Thank you. It seems to work. I set the new card to Preferred and the old to Normal in Hardware settings and then I took away the arial cable from the new card to verify that the TV picture comes from that card. The TV picture froze, so I concluded it works. I haven't tried the recording of one channel and watching at another yet, but will do that tonight. Waiting for the PIP function! Dosse Quote
