Hi,

I read that DVBViewer pro can support the FloppyDTV S2 card. So I need to know how the FloppyDTV S2 is supported (DVB-S / DVB-S2 ) and how it works under Vista (maybe the 64 bit version) :jawdrop: ). For me it's also important to use the rotor is that possible? Official datasheet say that is a Diseqc 1.2 card.

Thanks

All I can say it works quite well here under WinXP (I have a FireDTV S2 for testing purpose, but no rotor), and there are positive reports in the German section of this board, but nothing specific about Vista or DiSEqC 1.2.

I assume it works under Vista as well, because Digital Everywhere provides a driver for XP, Vista 32 & 64 bit. DiSEqC 1.2 should work too, since the FireDTV-S and FireDTV-S2 DiSEqC interface is the same and DiSEqC 1.2 is confirmed for the FireDTV-S (see here). Furthermore the FireDTV/FloppyDTV S2 (at least the DVB-S2 part) is based on the same design as the Hauppauge Nova S2 HD, and someone reported that DiSEqC 1.2 is working well with this card, if I remember it correctly. So chances are good... however, you won't really know until you try.

Hi

Thanks Griga for your opinion on this DVB Card. Seem that this card will replace my SS2 (I have no more free PCI slot on the next motherboard) . Are you testing the extender Kit (the one for put the card in the floppy drive slot) also? I'm interested in it but I have fear that the satellite signal cable is too short for my case (53 cm in depth).

Thanks

Ugo
