ziphnor Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 (edited) Hi, I just installed DVBViewer 3.9 (pro) on my HTPC (WinXP SP2) and would like to get it working with my MCE2005 remote (european version). (to clarify i havent tried getting the remote to work with older versions). I used to have a modified MCEIr driver installed, but i reverted to the standard driver. (so for example, now the direction keys and the ok button work in Windows itself). Under Options->InputPlugins i have checked the box for 'MCE2005' and restarted DVBViewer. However, nothing seems to change, for example the channel +/- doesn't switch channels and using the info button does nothing etc. The up and down keys have the same effect as without enabling the MCE2005 inputplugin (ie they act as they do in the rest of windows). What am i doing wrong? Is there a configuration file for the plugin somewhere that i should change or might be missing? Edited October 11, 2007 by ziphnor Quote
Moses Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 you need to learn all the buttons or find a config-file for the MCE remote. As far as I remember, there is no config file, yet.. so you'll have to learn all the buttons by yourself. Just pick an action, press learn and press the button on the remote, then select the next action (no need to deselect learn, but you'll have to use the mouse for selection). Quote

For some reason i had completely missed the configuration entry where the Learn button was located. Just too bad that i dont seem able to 'learn' the green start button on the remote, but i guess thats a driver issue. Quote
