Benarty Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I've installed DVBViewer from scratch so including the cmuv directory. I installed DVBViewer 3.9.0.0 and it works fine but now it can not find any old recording anymore. All DVBViewer setting or identical so point to the same directory for the recording and yes, if I look wuth explorer on that directory then those recording are there but DVBViewer doesn't show them if OSD menu is used. Was is not easy to add that DVBViewer would look in the directory instead of reading from..I do expect the cmuv directory? Mediahighway. I do know how to remove the infolines from the mediahighway messages but it's annoying that after eacht new DVBViewer version these messages pop-up again so have to change the file again. I'm surprised that nodody else finds this mediahighway messages disturbing. What's the point of them in the first place? DVBViewer is the only DVB application that has this nasty feature. Disabling the epg is not the solution, menu driven tick box to disable the mediahighway OSD messages is. Quote
Benarty Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 Let me guess, support.zip is needed. I would say, ok, but support.zip contains about the shutdown problem, mentioned in another topic about the update for DVBViewer 3.8.0.0 to fix a girder problem. The recording problem also. Perhaps I should RTFM and ok, that's acceptable but I mean perhaps a new function within DVBViewer. The function would be that DVBViewer actual reads the video directory. I have to admit, the shutdown problem is not so funny anymore. DVBViewer 3.6.1.20 could shut down when the remote is used. DVBViewer 3.8.0.0 and 3.9 failed to shutdown with the remote control. Using the keboard to navigate to the exit command works with all DVBViewer versions but 3.8 and 3.9 have a girder problem. The remote power off results in a exit command perfomed with the mouse in the context menu of DVBViewer. So...shutdown just closes DVBViewer. LarsMQ posted a vbs file that should solve girder problem starting from DVBViewer 3.8.0.0 but... it didn't. The recordings/music/timeshift directories are identical on all DVBViewer versions but as soon when all data of DVBViewer is removed so as if DVBViewer was never installed..then DVBViewer finds no old recordings....the only way to access them is with the mouse and the context menu. Not wit keyboard, not with remote. Girder settings are never changed since DVBViewer 3.5. I will take a look in the members area to see if there's an update. Quote
Moses Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 did you try "refresh database" in options->recorder? A work arround could be just to add the folder to the video folders and use OSD->myVideos instead. Quote
