mitsu Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 We bloody Scandinavians are always whining about ... guess. Right. Subtitles. This time about teletext subtitles. Our beloved national TV company YLE has decided to adjust teletext timings targeting to satellite network and the use the same timing in terrestrial network. As a result subtitles appear two seconds too early. Most probably they will never correct this. There are also other teletext and .srt timing problems every now and then. Would be so nice to have adjustable timing for teletext subtitles. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 this is not possible. teletext subtitles are shown just in time, so a delay is not possible without completly changing the teletext engine, will not happen. you could try to delay the video by 2000 ms via the dvbsource. but this will have other sideeffects (if it works).
