Trouble with Transedit MMC

Hi,

 

I have a PC with Vista with Windows Media Centre loaded and a Nova T 500 MCE Twin HD Twin Tuner card.

 

I have downloaded Transedit MMC to check whether DVBViewer will work on this machine.

When I try to run the scan, I am getting the error "The required DVB device is occupied".

 

I have stopped Windows Media Centre from automatically loading. I have also found that there was a Windows Media Centre Reciever Service which may have been holding the Tuner card. I have restarted the machine numerous times.

 

I have also seen on the forums that DVBViewer works well with the Nova T 500 card.

 

Is there more setup that I need to do with the Transedit MMC? (It does say that it has found 7 transponders and it seems to have found the Nova T card in the hardware log file)

Should I skip the check with the Transedit MMC and just purchase DVBViewer?

Or is there a step that I can take to find out what is stopping Transedit from talking to the Nova T tuner?

Or is there something else that I can put up here that will assist with diagnosis?
