greycat Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Hi all! I hope this is the right forum. After a few weeks of testing different softwares to find a solution for my HTPC, including MediaPortal, Nero Home and DVBViewer etc, I now decided to use DVBViewer since this seems to be the most stable of them all and it also have the features I want. So this weekend I did a clean installation of Win XP and installed only the necessary programs to run my HTPC with DVBViewer. After the reinstallation I can’t start up the PC from hibernate or standby mode with my MCE remote. This was possible before. I have activated the hibernate mode in Win XP. I have also activated the MCE remote in the input plugins section and selected the hibernate or standby mode in the shut down section. It's okay to shut down the PC to hibernate or to standby mode but when trying to start it up again the remote receiver doesn’t react to any commands from the MCE remote. Does anybody know what‘s wrong? Quote
greycat Posted November 7, 2007 Author Posted November 7, 2007 I found a soulution for my problem. I downloaded and installed MCE Standbytool and after that it worked great. Strange because I didn't need it before. Quote
