Quick Record option

It would be nice to have Quick Record option for current channel.

 

For example popup menu for "Record" toolbar button:

 

record

record 15mins

record 30mins

record 1hour

 

Very often you see something interesting on TV or it only begins but you hurry and have to leave.

 

As far as I remember some dvb programs have it.

Since DVBViewer is the best application - it will be nice feature.

 

Not sure if it was suggested before.

Maybe is preferable a separate button for a "Instant Record this event", directly based on duration of the current event (ie the one that can be seen on the Status Bar): what you (and other probably too!) want is done in just one click with no any bother / lurk for "how many time this event goes on?" / "open EPG and rec this event" at all...

 

(...ehm, but this sincerely doesn't sound a brand new proposal to me: perhaps is already done and simply we can't find it... )

Well, probably EPG is a great feature but it's not available for me at all, so I would not rely on it (to make the app really usable for everybody).

 

I'm from Russia and so no EPG.

DVBViewer GE provides something like this. When you want to stop a recording by clicking on the grey tool button, a popup menu appears that offers to stop it now / in 10 / 15 / 20 minutes etc.

 

However, DVBViewer GE does not contain all the DVBViewer Pro features. Particularly CI support is missing.

there is a script to implement this. Perform a search to this forum, it would deliver the source code.
