Elliot Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I have been a big fan and a satisfied customer of DVBViewer for around half a year now. All of a sudden last night might EPG lost all information, it didn't even have lines or boxes where the channels used to be. I tried rescanning in the channels this morning, this did not work. I read on this forum that only the latest version of DVBViewer was supported so I downloaded the latest version this morning and rescanned in the TV stations. Now I can see all the TV stations fine, however the EPG button is greyed out so when I click on it nothing happens. Not only have I lost the information on the EPG I have lost all use of the EPG. I read in the help that there should be a epg.dat file on my machine when I installed DVB however when I search for this file I can not find it, could this be the problem? Any help would be appreciated as my programming skills are pretty limited and I have no idea how to fix these things. Elliot Quote
Lars_MQ Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 tune some channels and make sure your SYSTEM DATE and TIME are set correctly. Quote
Dadag Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Same problem here, but looking at options-> EFG, found that receive MediaHighway unselected, select it and all EPG worked.now Quote
Elliot Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 just checked and MediaHighway is selected and the time is fine - I have no idea how to set the date and time, I just left it in automatic time zone. It still doesn't work. I should also mention that the subtitle menu is also greyed out and can not be clicked, however I can still get the subtitles to appear by right clicking and selecting from the menu. Everything else is fine, just EPG and subtitles have gone weird. Quote
Moses Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Lars referred to the system settings. You can set date and time there. Your system clock needs to be correct to display EPG correctly. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Please post some more information: http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=2210 Quote
Elliot Posted November 22, 2007 Author Posted November 22, 2007 Lars was correct it was my system settings I must have been looking at date on a different month and forgot to turn it back. Slightly embarrassed now, oh well lesson learned. Thank you people Quote
