Refreshing of the 'Recordings Database' by COM?

I'm looking for a COM method to refresh the 'Recordings Database' that I'd like to call by a luacom script. A nice addition would be a method to 'Delete Orphans'. COM access to the DVBViewer object is already possible. Couldn't find any appropriate method in the documenation of the DVBViewer COM Interface - maybe I just don't see it?
