quazzie Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I got a problem, i start DVBViewer tune to a channel (sometimes it requires tuning to 3-4 channels) then it stops working and all communication with the floppydtv card seems dead. Before running DVBViewer : Scanning in FireDTV application works fine, transponder locking and picture/audio on FTA channels. After running DVBViewer: Scanning in FireDTV is dead, no signal, no transponder lock no picture/audio on FTA channels. Reboot does not help. Only thing that helps is a firmware upgrade (to the same version i have). After firmware upgrade FireDTV can scan and lock to transponders again. (Without reboot) support.zip Quote
quazzie Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 No one has any theories, suggestions or general tips to try ? Quote
Derrick Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 try without plugins (rename plugin folder) use other mpeg video decoder e.g. cyberlink (much better than nero) select "Default Direct Sound Device" Quote
Griga Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 It's a FireDTV/FloppyDTV S2 - you should have stated it more precisely. I experienced the same problem after using special features like LNB power off or hardware PID filtering. Make sure that options -> hardware -> open whole transponder is ticked (according to your hardware.xml it isn't), in order to switch hardware filtering off. Obviously there are still bugs in the FloppyDTV S2 firmware. Another way to reset the device is disconnecting it from the power supply resp. FireWire cable (wherever it gets the power from). Quote

Sorry i wasn't more precise. And thanks for the help it works again! Thats what you get for playing around with the settings without really knowing what they do Quote
