accolon Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 When I use the Wizard the channel scan doesn't fint anything. And when scanning from within the program the scanner opens an empty DVBViewer window and hangs. Strangley enough if using an ready channelfile the viewer works perfectly. This problem appeared with the latest build. Thanks beforehand! Support.zip Quote
Lars_MQ Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 first of all, never tamper with the files in the support.zip. the sysinfo file is not readable for us, there is a reason the file is the way it is. Second please go into options -> hardware -> and set the status of the unicast device to do not use. Quote
accolon Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 Sorry for the tampering! but thanx for the help it did help me out Quote
kite Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 HI, I am also experiencing a similar problem. 1/ If I scan during the installation all the scan completes successfully. 2/ If I use the preset satellites this also works without problem. 3/ If I attempt to scan a new satellite after installation more often than not I get an application hang and may have to reboot the system. I don't have access to the system at the moment but will post the config file tomorrow. (I am using Vista Ultimate RTM + all available patches, TechoTrend 3650 with api that supports the CI and remote control) Best Regards Steven Wright Quote
kite Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 (edited) Can confirm that disabling the "Unicast Device" fixes the problem with scanning. Regards Edited December 28, 2007 by kite Quote
EJocys Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 (edited) Same problem here (WinTV Nova-T Stick DVB-T Tuner). Interface freezes when scanning for some time and no channels found. Disabling the "Unicast Device" doesn't fixed the problem. It looks like 3.9.1.0 version is unable to stop stream (or communicate with DVB-T Tuner properly) before tuning. Downgraded to version 3.9.0.0 and everything works fine now (with "New tuning method" turned OFF). Version 3.9.1.0 was able to scan for channels sometimes (single frequency) only with "New tuning method" option turned ON. Version 3.9.0.0 works fine only with "New tuning method" option turned OFF. Something is really wrong with scanning and needs to be fixed. Edited January 11, 2008 by EJocys Quote
