Will DVB viwer work with Hauppauge Nova t-500 DVB-t card?

 

I have the card and it works with DVBViewer.

 

There are some issues, but this is still the best viewing program I've found.

 

Issues are relatively small and may not depend on DVBViewer or the card. E.g. recording some channels and getting the subtitles recorded (if they are not part of the picture) requires some work - but it can be made work (I have had these work, but now, with some new drivers....it doesn't work...but I assume it can be solved...haven't put too much effort into this). Also playback of recorded titles suffers from an issue: when I move the play by any amount of time, sometimes, or quite often, the playing does not continue and I need to move an additional +10s or -10s and the playback continues fine (this might be a codec issue).

OK, then I think I will try out this program, to see if this is my new htpc software.

Works well for me though I don't use any whizzy features such as the remote control.

 

Very sensitive (works with low signal level).

 

Seamlessly switches between the two tuners.

 

Also it did decode the BBC HD trial from Crystal Palace until they turned it off :jump :-(
