Recording multiple streams

I am new to this DVB-T business (more or less) and I am wondering if it is possible to record 2 or more streams at the same time using only 1 tuner. In detail, I have 3 channels being broadcast by the same sender and I accidentally asked DVBViewer to record from both channels at the same time. It did not complain and just went ahead and recorded away (it still is). I have stopped one of the recordings (show ended) and verified that everything has been recorded. The other show isn't stopped yet and therefore I am wondering what DVBViewer records...

 

Can anyone shed some light on this?

 

I will of course check once the show has stopped, but it takes more than an hour from now. If it is recording garbage I may as well stop it now... :-P

It's possible to record all the channels that are on the same transponder (manly the frequency + some other parameters) at the same time. If DVBViewer doesn't complain, everything is ok. If try to record something impossible it will show in red in the timer window. You can also watch another program on the same frequency. The channel list has a "can tune" filter, which will show only the possible channels. Tuning to another channel will result in a "no dvb device present" message, but recording won't be harmed.

 

You can also sort the channel list by frequencies to get an overview what is possible and what not.

 

You can watch the recordings while DVBViewer is still recording. You can that with DVBViewer itself or any other player.

 

There are soooooooooooooooooooooo many possibilities... and they get even more, when you add a second tuner.
