Gavincol78 Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I have recently got myself a copy of 64bit Windows XP Pro and I was wondering if there would be any performance difference between this and 32bit Windows XP Pro Quote
Benarty Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 You need at least stable 64 bit drivers for any 64 bit OS. Cheapest and most stable is still plain old windowsXP home or Pro. (32 bit) No need for microsofts mediacenter. Quote
Moses Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 XP 64Bit is no good system... it's ok for itself, but many companies don't support it so there are not so much drivers... you need to be sure that you can get XP 64Bit drivers for all your hardware. Vista 64Bit is better supported (because it's kind of "future") and if you really want to hassle arround with a 64Bit system, I'd recommend that one. But if it concerns only DVBViewer, XP 32Bit is the best OS. (I'd recomend Pro because of the lacking network support in home, but that's another story ). Quote
