skystar_walker Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 do anyone know how to use marfi filter "Skyavc.ax" with DVBViewer Technisat Edition??? My OS is Win 98 SE Many thanks Quote
Guest Oliver Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 It's not possible, it is a feature of the full version, which also offers the DVBSource source-filter. Bye, Oliver Quote
skystar_walker Posted October 16, 2003 Author Posted October 16, 2003 Thanks oliver I'll try the full version, because with TE version i experienced some problem of bad recording when Hard disk activity is going HIGH (the disk buffer becomes full). I thought this problems was due to inefficency of the original TE skyavc filter (4.2.2 drivers). So i wanted to use marfi's filter. My pc is a amd duron 1300 with 256 MB DDR and an ati sapphire A3 Do you have some suggestions???? Quote
Guest Oliver Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 You seemingly confuse some things: Marfi's filter and the SkyAVC are identical. The TE only features the SkyStar 4.2 source-filter. Only the full version offers buffered recordings. You could try to set the process priority of the DVBViewer to "high" or at least "higher than normal" in the taskmanager (the full version has a corresponding switch, though). You should have a look here for an overview. Bye, Oliver Quote
skystar_walker Posted October 17, 2003 Author Posted October 17, 2003 ok oliver, i meant the SkyStar 4.2 source-filter that is in \bin directory and it has a name similar to "Skyavc" (Sky4pcav.ax ..... I think). Anyway according to you, my issue can be due to the lacking of buffered recording in TE edition, and it doesn't concern with inefficency of Technisat source filter compared to the Marphi's one. I'll try the full version as soon as possible. Have you some suggestions about using buffering with a specific release of DVBViewer 1.99? (for example R5, R11 etc....) thanks for your helpful answers Quote
Guest Oliver Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 The buffering algorithm was first introduced with the R8, but the R9 features "real" intelligent buffering. BTW: You will always get the latest release when buying the full version. Bye, Oliver Quote
