henryxp Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) I have a problem after DVBViever reinstalled, the picture looks. http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/5845/taglia3tr0.jpg How can I fix? Edited February 27, 2008 by henryxp Quote
Oliver Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Uninstall the DVBViewer. Afterwards start regedit and delete the entry at HLKM/software/cm&v. Then try re-installing the DVBViewer with the credentials you received after your purchase. Quote
repe77 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 I have the same problem. I'm using Vista Enterprise edition. Removed the software Cleaned the registry Changed my user account to administrative privileges Run setup as administrator Entered my e-mail and password Saw the credentials entered in the registry Run the software as aministrator Still have the problem. Tried to modify the registry keys with increased write permissions. Tell the truth I did not know what I was doing but it did not solve the problem. I get the problem usually after I restore the minimized program from task tray. Next I will see if having the program in the task bar instead solves the problem. I am not very comfortable using the computer with admin privileges. Is it enough to run the software in compatibility mode with "run as administrator" compatibility option checked? Quote
repe77 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) No, minimizing to task bar did not solve the problem. Can this problem be firewall-related? EDIT. I did not enter the username and password when asked again. Next time I started the program the credentials were NOT in the registry! Any advice would be highly appreciated. Lars_MQ Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Deinstall it completely, also delete program and userdata folder when asked. And enter the userdata exactly (upper/lowercase char do matter) when installing. Quote
repe77 Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 I already had done just that. This time I did not choose admin privileges from compatibility options when I ran the setup program. The setup completed succesfully. My user account was set up as admininistrator but I was not able to run the wizard to choose languages and folders. I was still able to set up most of the options inside the program menus though. Now I do not run the program specifically with admin privileges in compatibility options. So far I haven't had the login issue but it may be too early to tell. I do not know anything much about the new features in Vista but I suggest that the virtual registry feature may have caused this problem. Quote
repe77 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 It seems that the problem was solved. I still think it is a Vista related issue that is experienced if compatibility settings are used. Quote
