HDTV question

OK, I've read through just about the entire forum & the manual several times, but I cannot find answers to these simple questions :

1/ How do I find out what plugins I have already got installed for DVBViewer ? - There is no "Plugins" tab/list onscreen like available in P***DVB - very frustrating.

2/ Which audio plugin/decoder do I need to hear audio while watching HDTV ?

3/ How do I switch between codecs/plugins if I want to change ?

4/ I get 'wavy lines' (not pixelation) on fast moving video while watching HDTV - what can be causing this ? - No such problems with P***DVB.

Don't get me wrong, I really like DVBViewer - a much better piece of software than the others - faster, better menu structure & a friendly interface, but I need help.

Thanks in advance.

1. Just have a look in your plugins folder. Usually you only have channel list import templates installed. All other plugins have to be installed separately. BTW: Installed plugins are shown in the plugins menu. Have a look here. It's all in the manual. :jump:

2. You don't need a plugin for that. It definitely works with the Odio Dekoda, but you can use that only with the full version.

3. That's only possible with the full version.

4. That's not only related to HDTV and it's definityly no bug of the DVBViewer. Those lines are caused by interlaced broadcasts. You must enable the deinterlacer of your video decoder. The TE features the Mediamatics. There is a thread about the Mediamatics decoder here in the forum. Inside you will find the correct settings for the decoder. Your ProgDVB installation seemingly uses a video decoder with deinterlacing enabled.

Thanks yet again Oliver :jump:

Before I purchase & download 1.99R9a (the full version), can you tell me if I can use plugins such as ###### & ###### with the software ?

Oh well, that answers my question - no you can't - thank you.

If I can't use ###### & ######, then this software is no good to me - I will continue to use my other DVB viewing software, namely ###### and XXXX.

You have been most helpful.
