_nex Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 Hi! I did something bad when i didn't check up the forum rules before i did my first post, I can understand that and I'm terribly sorry But also i pay for this product so I think I deserve some support, sure I can call but that would cost me alot (dunno if it's a free number) and i don't feel for talking about it via telephone as my english is not so good. So I hope admins can forgive me (even if you consider making a new account lame). I got a major problem with DVBViewer (which btw is a great tool for capture/watching tv). It randomly gives me glitches (within 20 minutes often) for no reason and I've tried different filters/mixers/decoders without any improvement (doesn't matter if DVBViewer is set to normal/high/realtime priority). I also changed Smart Buffer from not using it to 100MB without any difference. This didn't happend to my old box (Intel Pentium D, 1GB RAM) Now i got a quad-core instead and 2GB RAM. When i watch HDTV the cpu doesn't even pass 30% CPU-useage so i find this really odd. I use a CA-modul via DVB-C (Conax). This happends to normal SDTV aswell but not so often as HDTV. I'm using DVBViewer 3.9.3.10 Beta because I was hoping maybe a newer version would help but it doesn't seem that way Thanks.. support.zip Quote
Tjod Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 You should read the Forum Rules. § 15....... The use of multiple forum accounts is not allowed. ...... _nex will be disabled permanently and nexx get three days extra writ ban. Quote
nexx Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I did format C:\ with no success and I also searched more in this forum, found out that the problem is simular to this one: http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=19080 I tried the aluminium thingie but it didn't help at all. I installed a separate VideoRecorder plugin and activated the log function which showed something interesting. 15:31:47 Start 16:09:45 Errors: 2 @2477,8 MB 16:14:05 Errors: 3 @2544,1 MB 16:18:25 Errors: 3 @2610,4 MB 16:22:45 Errors: 2 @2676,5 MB 16:22:46 Errors: 1 @2676,8 MB 16:27:05 Errors: 2 @2743,0 MB 16:27:06 Errors: 1 @2743,2 MB 16:31:26 Errors: 3 @2809,3 MB 16:35:46 Errors: 3 @2875,9 MB 16:44:26 Errors: 2 @3008,2 MB 16:46:37 Stop As you can see, it didn't glitch until 40 minutes after, but when it happend it started to glitch in a row of 4 min 15s. Going to try TwinhanDTV if it will work there. (this message is supposed to be a edit of my first post) Quote
nexx Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 EDIT: TwinhanDTV doesnt seem to work at all, and im too lazy to check the problem up at a another computer. One thing is interesting though, 16:09:45 Errors: 2 @2477,8 MB 16:14:05 Errors: 3 @2544,1 MB 16:18:25 Errors: 3 @2610,4 MB 16:22:45 Errors: 2 @2676,5 MB As i said before, the glitches is in a row of 4min 20s which is 260s. PMT = 260 for that channel, is that relevant? Btw, it seems to work with every other channel Any idea about it? Quote
Derrick Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 ..hmm, welcome back I suspect your problems are related to DVB-C and in particular to 256QAM channels. Could you pls. indicate the channel parameters (frequency, modulation and SR) of a good and a bad channel? Quote
nexx Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Heh thanks Those channels im viewing has 64QAM. One good channel (SDTV): Frequency: 482000 Symbolrate: 6875 Modulation: QAM64 Video Type: MPEG2 The bad channel (HDTV, only HD-channel I got cause the rest are locked to specific boxes) Frequency: 418000 Symbolrate: 6875 Modulation: QAM64 Video Type: H.264 Quote
