Gibbah Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Hi, Im currently customizing the default OSD skin. I edit the images and change stuff in the xml-files. But, there are some stuff that I can not find in any of the xml-files. For example, in the EGP time-line view there is a background image for the channel-logo and channel-lable. I can not find any reference to this in the myepgchannel.xml where the rest of the stuff for that view is located. Does this mean I can not make changes to that element (backgroundimage) or is it set in some other file somewhere? I have tried the SkinEditor but I can not open any exsisting skin in it. Is there any default SkinEditor-project somewhere so you can see how stuff work? Best regards, Gibbah Quote
MarkusK Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 (edited) The background image files for timeline buttons are named: button_light_left button_light_middle button_light_right button_left button_middle button_right button_selected_left button_selected_middle button_selected_right You can't define them with the editor, the filenames are predetermined by DVBV. All you can do here is replacing the files in the "Images" folder of the skin. To change the position, move the "channel logo" and the "channel label template". It's a little bit tricky to edit the skin of the timeline window. It's difficult to explain this exactly, just try it out To open a skin with the skin editor, just open the mainfolder, where the skin files are located. Edited March 26, 2008 by MarkusK Quote
Gibbah Posted March 27, 2008 Author Posted March 27, 2008 Thanks a lot for your reply. I have downloaded a couple of skins and when I try opening them in the SkinEditor (the folders where the .skin-files are) I allways get "This is not a valid Skinproject". Quote
MarkusK Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 (edited) You open the wrong folder. Look at the pic, which folder of a skin you have to open. Edited March 27, 2008 by MarkusK Quote
Gibbah Posted March 30, 2008 Author Posted March 30, 2008 You open the wrong folder. Look at the pic, which folder of a skin you have to open. Yep, it works now. Thanks a lot! Quote
