DVBViewer + ffdshow

Recently I tried the postprocessing plugin, and it launches ffdshow before building the graph. I am in Hong Kong and testing with 1080/50i signal. Problem I encountered is, it starts the live show with 25fps for a while, after a random period, the frame rate drops continuously (to 1x frames). Without ffdshow, the framerate is always 49.99fps for hours.

I just use xsharpen in ffdshow for TV/DVBViewer, and I am sure that's not the CPU issue (see my config below), as I can upscale DVD to 1920x1080 and do some AVIsynth jobs AND xsharpen too! The TV signal level is always above 60% for all the channels. Same problem occurred when I playback those recorded programmes!! But using KMPlayer + ffdshow works perfectly!!

Any settings I can try, no matter DVBViewer or ffdshow?

My config:

Q6600@ 3.2GHz

NVidia 8600GTS w/ Forceware 174.74

2GB DDR2 800

PowerDVD Ultra 7.3 H.264 decoder

DVBViewer registered version 3.9.2/3.9.3.25 (both tried)

So you want to give up on the video decoding capabilities and perfect deinterlacing of a GeForce 8600 just to use xsharpen? Did you check out the nVIDIA Control Center's video options? There is also the possibility to use the 8600's shader units to sharpen the image.

Hey man of course I want to use AVISynth too! But even xsharpen alone screwed up the thing....... well........ :)
