OSD control troubles

Hiya!

First of all, DVBViewer is AWESOME. It has made all of my dreams true about a stable, functional HTPC with all the features I need. I'm thrilled about it. :bounce:

However, the I'm struggling a bit with the OSD and my remote controller.

Is it possible to map OSD-Up and OSD-Down so that they switch channels? Now it seems that OSD-Down pauses the playback and OSD-Up does.. well, nothing. I want them to change channels (or fav's, doesn't matter) and ALSO work as directional buttons in the OSD menus.

I've tried fiddling around with the input settings but there's no help. The Tweaks.txt -file found in the root folder of DVBViewer has an entry like this:

Value: UseFav

Section: Input

Accepted: 0 (false), 1 (True)

Default 0

Description: Determinates if the favorites are tuned up/down instead of the channels if the osd-up/-down key is pressed.

..So I take that as a hint that the functionality IS there, I just have to find out how to find it. :)

Thanks!

Disable (auto)timeshift, or take a look into the tweaks.txt. :)

Thanks for the quick reply.

However, disabling automatic timeshift isn't an option.

I re-read Tweaks.txt a couple of times, but I can't find anything that touches the subject. This one is the only one that even comes close:

Value: TimeshiftEPGdisplay

Section: OSD

Accepted: 0 (false), 1 (True)

Default: 0

Description: If True the Miniepg is shown in Timeshift mode when pressing OSD-Enter, else the Mediawindow is shown.

However, it doesn't affect my problem whether it's set to true or false.

What I'm not getting here? :)

EDIT: Yeah, and I'm using the latest stable version, 3.9.2.0.

Oh, and here's my support.zip, in case it might help.

Please, if anyone knows anything I could do to solve this, it would be greatly appreciated.

ah ok. simply use the ch+/ch- keys on your remote.

Sorry to be a nag, but the reason I posted here in the first place is that I don't want to use the channel buttons, as I'm used to using the directional keys for navigating channels. All my remotes so far have had that functionality.

Guess I should post this into the feature requests -forum then, to add a switch to options (or at least to tweaks.txt) to make it possible to use the directional keys for channel surfing even when the timeshift is on. I have dedicated buttons for play/pause/stop etc. on my remote, so I don't want it to be on the directional buttons. Shouldn't be too difficult to do this?

Well, thank you anyway.
