Ham Wong Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) I have sucessfully setup the DVBServer and works perfectly but what I wanna know is DVBViewer Pro is the only software that able do the client work? if so, is that mean I need to purchase many licenses for the client computer? and is anyone may explain what is the difference of Unicast and Multicast? Lars_MQ Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Only the DVBViewer can connect to the dvbserver. The server has to be told, which channel to tune and which PIDs to send. It's like a networked DVB-card. Within limits it is tolerated to use the DVBViewer on more than one of your computers, as long as the computers are in you living space (own house, flat etc). Obviously, if you live in a university dorm or something like this, this rule does not apply. Just keep it sensible and within limits and remember each sold unit supports the further development of the DVBViewer. Quote
