PatrikF Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I'm running the dvbservice successfully in Windows Vista with the UAC turned on. The only problem I have is that with the added security through UAC I have to disable it every time I want to change the configuration of the software. Can someone please indicate where on the computer the settings for DVBService is stored so that I can change It manually instead. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 They are stored in the setup.xml of the DVBViewer. You find the setup.xml via DVBViewer Programgroup -> Datafolder. Check the rights for the folder and the file, the service runs in a different rights context. Quote

It was the accessrights on the disc not UAC in Windows Vista that was messing with my rights. Having set the correct access rights on the disk everything works like a charm. Please accept my deepest thank you for the DVBService functionality. It is exactly what I need to make my whole family happy and to be able to easily record all TV shows they want to record. Quote
