unicode characters in htpcHome folders

Has anyone managed to make DVBViewer display characters that do not belong to the charset choosen for unicode-unaware applications?

 

Windows Explorer displays filenames normally, however, i only see question marks in htpcHome subfolder. And when i try to open the file which looks like "???????????.avi, DVBViewer says "Cannot create filter Graph, error: 0x80040216 An object or name was not found".

Same issues to open a Dreambox recorded file: BBC_2_England-19_07_2008-21_41-Hadrian.ts

Some characters are not working, can't open the file.
