ginacman Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I would like to pick one for H.264 but I've got hard time wading through the german spoken topics. Can anyone indicate one of them successful, presumably coming with BDA drivers? Thanks Quote
hdv Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Hello, for DVB-T you can get every card/stick you would. the only thing you need is a decoder which can H.264 Quote
Lars_MQ Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 Oh if you use a USB stick, make sure it is a real USB 2.0 stick! Quote
ginacman Posted May 18, 2008 Author Posted May 18, 2008 I'm already using a LifeView FlyDVB-T Duo Cardbus adapter and it works well, although quite poor in sensitivity (but this is another story). I cannot test in HD yet, because such programs in my region just will start soon. My doubt stems from the fact that some manufacturers sport their product as HD specific, such as the following: http://www.avermedia.com/avertv/Product/Pr...ail.aspx?Id=293 Do you think is it really suited for HD in some respect? ginacman Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 The same question, perhaps, could be put differently: who is currently receiving DVB-T high definition programs and, if anybody, which receiver card is using? Quote
Griga Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 For HD via DVB-T you don't need a special DVB hardware. It's more or less a software thing (H.264 decoder!). However, you'll need a PC that is fast enough or a graphics card that provides H.264 decoding support. My doubt stems from the fact that some manufacturers sport their product as HD specific, such as the following: Most likely the enclosed software installs a H.264 decoder (which means the vendor has to pay additional licence fees), that's all.
