Server & client installation

I've set up a successful installation of DVBViewer Pro V3.9.2.0 with Terratec Cinergy DVB-C C.

Now I'd also like to try to run the DVBViewer as a client using my primary PC as a server.

I tried to read the manual and configure the settings correctly (unicast), but no success.

Could someone point me to right direction? A dummies example please?

PS: Following this manual page did not yet get my installation to work:

A common mistake is a missing or incorrect channel list on the client.

Ok, I now got the DVBViewer client to recognize the DVBViewer server (Settings->Hardware->Settings->Discover).

But when I try to scan for the channels (Channel->Channel scan->Scan Frequency | Scan Range), no channels are found. By default the "Reception type" in channel searching is set to Satellite (the scan can be started, but does not find anything). If I change it to cable, the client does not even let me search the channels.

So how do I build up the channel list?

You did tell the DVBViewer that this network device is a cable tuner type, didn't you?

Just as I pressed "send", I figured this one out ;)

When I switched to "cable", and copied the channel list & favorites files from the server PC, the client started working!

Thanks!
