Hauppauge Nova HD-S2 Remote in DVB Viewer?

Hi all,

I have been trying for the past few days to get my Hauppauge Remote control to operate DVBViewer, but have had no luck.

From what I understand so far when you install the IR Device for the Hauppauge remote, it installs an IR program in the tray & an IRREMOTE.INI in the windows folder.

This is what I have done so far:

Searched through IRREMOTE.INI & found this section:

GO={run(..\CyberLink\PowerCinema\PowerCinema.exe)}

Changed it to:

GO={run(..\DVBViewer pro\DVBViewer.exe)}

Now I would have assumed that with those changes, pressing the "GO" button on the remote that it would now load up DVBViewer instead of Cyberlink, BUT when I press the GO button Cyberlink still loads up!

How on earth can it still load? when I have changed it over to DVBViewer?

Has anyone got their Hauppauge remote control to operate DVBViewer? if so can you please let me know how exactly you did this?

Many Thanks,

Nick.

Anyone?

Surely somebody must be using a Hauppage remote with DVBViewer? I wouldnt think its that uncommon.

here is the link to the files:

http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...st&p=162006

rename the für_nova_s2.ini to for_nova_s2.remote and put it in the DVBViewer folder for the remotes

then in DVBViewer go to options input then click on import and choose this file

copy irremote.ini to your windows folder

restart the remote

now learn your remote in DVBViewer

hope this works i only got the german version so... try ;)

EDIT: Maybe you need the irremote.ini from post #15 (down the page of my link) i don´t now which one i use cause my media center is at home!
