Regular errors after View | Close Graph

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I updated to 3.9.4.0 version and noticed errors (Access violations) when selecting View | Close Graph. These errors are always the same:

Faulting application DVBViewer.exe, version 3.9.4.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.5512, fault address 0x0001b1fa.

Do you use an exception stack tracker (like JclDebug) ?

There is also second problem but it affects all 3.9.x versions. It is related to EPG reception I guess. When you start DVBViewer and switch to another channel (on the same frequency) immediately it sometimes get stuck for a 20 seconds with 100% CPU load before it switches to the channel.

start via start -> programs -> DVBViewer -> Support -> DVBViewer (failsafe). Does it happen then?

Nope. But got it once (of 30 attempts) for Rebuild Graph.

well then please start checking which plugin is causing the crash. "Failsafe" simply disables all plugins.

I don't think I have installed any plugin. But I found a ImportCSV.dll loaded into the process. How can I remove the plugin ?

I see, the ImportCSV.dll is loaded in Safe mode as well. I compared list of loaded DLLs in Normal and Safe mode and haven't found any differences. Another thing is that current channel is automatically played in Normal mode while in Safe mode I have to select it from the menu. Maybe it is related somehow (a thread synchronization issue, invalid pointer etc - I would suggest to move to managed platforms. It will solve the 64bit versions demand as well  ).

Ah ok I see, I think we wait if someone else reports such a problem with less half knowledge.
