Benarty
SP3 should really be avoided on mediacenter computers. It leads to massive errors, from small to big. Big in my case: computer starts up, DVBViewer starts, no video, stuttering audio. Channel info displays no stream errors so the DVB card is actual receiving the channel. If you have installed SP3 and you get a slight problem afterwards, remove SP3. SP3 is not a major service pack at all. Quote Link to comment
CiNcH
No problems with SP3 here at all with an ATi 3650 and TT S2-3200. Channel info displays no stream errors so the DVB card is actual receiving the channel. To verify stream errors you should use TransEdit. EPG is cached and has no real real-time demands anyway. At the time it works perfect with 3.9.4 or 3.9.2 Quote Link to comment
Benarty
SP3 worked fine for a bit more then 24 hours. Then , when closing DVBViewer = shutdown , error that XP could not close the audio application. Next day, poof, no video, jittered audio, rebooted but same problem. XP had no problem with other tasks . Removed SP3 and poof, back to normal. I told: if you get a slight error after installing SP3, just remove it. And: SP3 is not a major service pack, Quote Link to comment

When my computer wakeup from hibernate state, network adapter AS2 does'n have any problems, but DVBViewer say HW is not available and scan devices too (XP SP3 + 4.4.3.9999Skynet Driver+DVBViewer 3.9.4.0). After I restart PC or use BDA drivers all works OK. Quote Link to comment
Gioxy
My experience in installing SP3 on XP Pro: • in 4 PC it work without any problem, • in 1 PC (a HP DX2300 just after the pre-installation was done) can't connect correctly to the LAN... even after netsh Winsock reset or SP3 uninstall -> I had to totally Recover it... Benarty
on the pc that i'm using: SP3 installed and poof, emu 1212 drivers gone, chipset drivers back to generic ones. But after installing the chipset drivers and the emu driver then it's working again. Quote Link to comment
DolKbg
I experienced several problems after installing SP3, with DVBViewer and other applications. Worked fine for about a week, then strange things started to happen. Finally I was not able to start the system at all. Restarted it in Safe Mode and removed SP3, after that, no problems. So my advice is, if your system starts to behave strange after installing SP3, uninstall it. Regards DolKbg Quote Link to comment
