trifon33 Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Hi all, I found one littele bug after upgrading to 3.9.4.0. Unable to access to many sats(ASTRA 19.2, HOTBIRD) in the scan window. The transpponders directory is OK, all TP are there but few of them can be accessed though. That won't stop from normal working with previous scanned chanels in memory. Please check. Cheers. Quote
Griga Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 The transpponders directory is OK, all TP are there but few of them can be accessed though. The actually used transponder lists are located in the configuration folder\Transponders, not necessarily in program files\DVBViewer\Transponders. Click About -> Configuration Folder in DVBViewer to find them, check what's stored there, and close DVBViewer before changing something in this folder or a subdirectory. Quote

I'll check that. It look like the 3.9.4.0 is quite a major update. We need to get use of it. Cheers Quote
trifon33 Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 (edited) I have copied & past the DVBViewer transponders directory content to the CMUV>>DVBViewer>>Transponders. Everything is OK now. If the 3.9.4.0 version new active transponders directory(CMUV path) has not be updated yet, there could be a problem when installing from scratch as our majors sats are not there. Griga Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 If the 3.9.4.0 version new active transponders directory(CMUV path) has not be updated yet, It's not that new. DVBViewer 3.9.2 handles it in the same way, and maybe even earlier versions - can't remember. However, the installer is not supposed to overwrite your personal settings (including transponder lists). trifon33 Posted June 6, 2008 Author Posted June 6, 2008 (edited) How can you explain, Griga, the issue I have detected? I have just uninstalled 3.9.2.0 without removing my personnal settings then install 3.9.4.0 without checking any option excepted download the resquested DLL for my TT 3200 and Basic. In fact I have discovered the issue when trying to add another SAT not previously scanned. The CMUV transponders list showed very few transponders ini, I did not change anything on it before for the simple raison I was not aware of the directory in question. It's quite strange. May be it's due to your server failure, I have tryied to install 3.9.4.0., but could not download the requested files; then uninstall the 3.9.4.0 and try again with succes.
