Araj Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 (edited) I live in Switzerland and I'd like to get UK programmes. Can I get them for free on Astra 28.2° (2A/2B/2C/2D) ? I found a list online which shows BBC and ITV programmes available at Astra 28.2° - but what confuses me is that although the list says the programmes are not encrypted, they are shown as part of BBC and Sky "packages". Thanks for your help ! Edited June 6, 2008 by Araj Quote
Griga Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Can I get them for free on Astra 28.2° (2A/2B/2C/2D) ? Yes. I do However, they use a spot beam for channels that are not supposed to be watched outside UK, so it depends very much on where you live and your dish size (you'll need a big one in Switzerland, I guess). See here http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html and click on the links in the beam column. Quote

Under DVBViewer, it is scanned as audio chanel under the SID figure; you can changer it too. I have watched Nedereland/Italy that way; It is done for some sort of prortection. The english "freesat HD receiver" recover the right chanel property. HTPC+DVBViewer is realy formidable!!!!! Quote
