alain_sat
Hi, I'm new and try at the start to have image on HD FTA channels on Astra 19.2 like Astra HD and Annixe HD. As you can see the channel is locked but no picture. I'm using a Dual Core PC. Windows XP Pro SP2. AVC Core Codec installed for mkv H264 playback. (alltough VLC works better on Linux). I first installed the drivers and software that came with the USB Tuner. I use Cyberlink for Technotrend filter. I downloaded the program this week, so it should be latest version. I get picture on FTA DVB-S channels I know it's on the original software but it works in DVBViewer also. Thanks helping a newbie in DVB-S(2) world (I never used the 4 cards that are in the PC) As I'm not home now I can't give more precise information, if needed please tell me what you need more. feixen
Hello mate. you`ve find the right forum place. Download this and copy in your main-directory from DVBViewer. execute it .. and poste here the support.zip -file. Quote Link to comment
alain_sat
Thanks for your answer, I will have a look at it. But, it works and I'm not really sure why. I was playing around with the Preview and that worked, so I new the pictures were decoded. Then playing with the zoom function gave me pictuyre, I still don't know why. I noticed the hardware wasn't really Ok to play it well. I do some recordings now to see what it will look like on my multimediaplayers Popcorn and Egreat. Now my next step will be to connect it to my gboxservers on Dreambox and TripleDragon. support.zip Edited June 12, 2008 by alain_sat Quote Link to comment
feixen
I noticed the hardware wasn't really Ok to play it well. your CPU Speed: 2999 Mhz looks slow. otherwise try (if you can) the ---> CyberLink H.264/AVC Decoder (PDVD7) --> or upper ver. work here like a charm @ CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ Quote Link to comment

I tried again this morning and it worked well on the latest station i tried yesterday (Astra HD). Then I turned to Astra 23.5 and scanned and couldn't make it work anymore. Even not on SD channels. In preview I got picture. I trasnfered the files I recorded yesterday to my Network Media Tank (eGreat) and he played the files very well on my LCD. The codec you are talking about is probably the same as the Core AVC I use to watch mkv files. Could I solve it with a better vga card? I was actually planning to make a barebone PC to put in the living with hdmi support to connect to my LCD TV. But as I read you, it will probably be allmost impossible? I also have Linux on this PC and noticed mkv files played much better with vlc under Linux, is this an option? What viewer software would you suggest? Quote Link to comment
alain_sat
Just an extra remark, during installation I saw a message from the COm server that said that my hardware wasn't compatible?? Quote Link to comment
