pastimer Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Is there a difference between the transport stream sent by unicast over http versus the the transport stream that is a recording in the form of a .ts file? If they are different, what are the differences? In my experience, playback of recorded HD streams is flawless while streaming the same channel over unicast/http is troublesome (stutter, losing audio). Thanks. Quote
Lars_MQ Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 The streams are identical (of course with the identical settings ttx, aditional audio etc). LiveTV does not wait, the data arrives no matter what. Fileplayback can wait and slow down. The rest can not be answered without knowing your point of reference. Does this happen if all is done on the same PC? then it might be a perfomance problem of the PC. does it work locally and has problems via network, then you might have problems with your network or the windows settings or the drivers setting or... Since there are several reports of successfully streaming HD over the network my guess would be a bottleneck somewhere in your system. Quote
