Well we only need enough people able to translate german to english and it would be no problem. Each one page and the stuff would be done in no time. If we don't find helpers, it might take quite some time till I find the time to redo it in english. The resources are limited, you know ;)

That what I was afraid of. Why don't you do it in english at the begining, I am sure there are more people to translate that in german than vice versa.

You're doing pretty well! In fact, you write English better that some English people... Putting my business hat on, I would also like to say that if there was more focus on English then you are more likely to see sales increase, then could maybe afford to employ professional translator for other languages. I have got the product working but I know there is so much more that it can do if only the information was readily available. Like it or not, people form all nations are going to be more familiar with English than German.

I know and that's why most changelogs are in english (kind of ;) ). There had been a lot of complains from the german users because of this...

Well first of all they could employ me :bye:;)

About the German/English issue I have seen that you have launched a Wiki for DVBViewer (with restrictedd edit rights but that's fine). However the Wiki is only in German. As you're using Mediawiki would you consider enabling the multi language feature to have at least German and English? The idea is obviously to have the same behavior as Wikipedia where the same page exists in both languages. Maybe you could do this only for a test period to see if the English community will jump on the wagon.

I can give my personal recommendation for that with pleasure if that will help.

Please note also that we are still talking about DVBViewer not DVBFernseher

@jf2020

Just today I was thinking about it. I'll have to ask but I personally think it is a good idea.

You just have to remember there are only very few people deeply involved with the whole project and they do it in their spare time, so I won't promise anything. Well, actually I can't promise anything, in the wiki project I'm only a simple user :shifty:

@IRa

Your german skills are much better than my finnish ;) ;)
