selmir Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Hi, I run 8 instances of DVBViewer Pro on my computer without any problem. When I try to run one more instance nothing is happened, without any error report, just nothing. I have a question: Is it possible to run more than 8 instances of DVBViewer on same machine? Maybe this is a limit of OS? I run DVBViewer on Windows XP SP3 and also I try this on Vista. Quote
Griga Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Is it possible to run more than 8 instances of DVBViewer on same machine? No. It's a limitation of the data structures that are used for interprocess communication by DVBViewer. We didn't expect someone to be that crazy. Quote

On another computer I run 8 instances of DVBViewer connected to DVB Server and use netstream plugin to stream 8 channels (I stream every channel on different IP address). Average CPU time on my computer (with 8 DVB Viewers - audio/video disable) is about 15%. It will be great if can be possible to run more than 8 instances from one machine. Whit this feature I think that will be possible to stream more than 20-30 channels from one computer. Quote
