FloppyDTV S2 cam not accesible

Hi all,

got new FloppyDTV S2 and easy.tv cam modul with SkyLink (SK) and Gital (CZ) cards but cam option in DVBViewer is without any options. I can't access cards info and can't update cam modul.

Any help?

BTW you did download the support dll for FireDTV cards in the setup, didn't you?

Sorry i did not find it when i installed DVBViewer. Cos i remember there was separate instalation for cam for FloppyDTV cards. I will reinstall it tommorow. Thanks a lot.

here too...CAM not accessible BUT, the CAM receives updates , reveiving updates is not a matter of dvbveiwer , if that was the case then we would have seen a black screen months ago.

Another problem...

 

i can access FloppyDTV S2 cam and easy.tv cam modul with SkyLink (SK) and Gital (CZ) but when i tried to update cam through Astra 19.2(ORF) cam was not accessible because my prescription cards are used on Astra 23.5(diseqc1) and update is through Astra 19.2(diseqc2). So when I switch to Astra 19.2(diseqc2) and my cards are not used cam is not accessible. Is that correct?

You can only access the cam if the dvb-card in used by the DVBViewer.

I though so but is there please possibility to change access to cam in every time even when is not used? Otherwise I have to reconnect diseqc when I need to update cam and I do not need to change channel to access cam.

No, I'm sorry this is not possible. This would collide with the devicesharing between programms and with the internal hardware engine.

 

But somehow I think I'm not getting your problem. You only mention one DVB-Card and two CAMs and diseqC.

Since the CAM receives update information , no need to access the cam so I don't see this as a problem.

I got 3 cards FloppyDTV S2 + NovaS2 + Avermedia DVB-T. I got diseqc 4/1 with 3 LNBs Astra 23.5, 19.2, 28.2 and 1 cam Easy.tv with two subscription cards SkyLink(SK) + Gital(CZ) both cryptoworks.(I think).

 

Problem is I can not update easy.tv cam through Astra 19.2 because cam is accessible only on Astra 23.5 where is SkyLink and Gital(my subscripted channels).

Thanks for an answer Benarty but since when CAM receive updates automatically even when is not in use...? I tried update CAM from satelite many times without any success. I only did it in friends technisat receiver, which can accesss CAM any time.

Is was using a original TV vlaanderen (canal digitaal) mediaguard cam.

No problems to update and cam was also not able to get into the cam menu.

 

but: this cam was blocking HD channels.

if I tuned to astra HD+, then info shows a lousy 0,19mbps.

so i switched of the computer, removed the cam and tried astra HD+ again and poof..no problem to receive it.

 

I tsill had a matrix reborn ZCAS so tried this cam and yes, still access to astra HD and also the TV vlaanderen channels.

The cam does not mis any lock pulse.

 

 

No, if the computer is off, then the cam can not receive anything but as soon when you start the computer en tune in any of the TV vlaanderen channels, then the cam will still get it cause TV vlaanderen send this data for a while, so that 'update' is not a matter of a short period. it can happen when you don't start the computer for longer time, for instance after a vacation, then You might need to activate the cam again via the TV vlaanderen website.

 

 

ps: DVBViewer 3.9.0 could access these cams, since 3.9.2 not anymore.

Problem of DVBViewer? No idea cause the floppy DTV software was also updated.

 

The CI console of digital everywhere has access to the cams.

easy.tv cam was working ok but with couple of issues like when i accessed info about cards in menu of DVBViewer computer restarts and this happend on my computer couple of times then i tried that in technisat receiver which restarted as well. So i was waiting for firmware update. now i got newest firmware 3.15 and did not check yet if that issue is still there.

 

I do not think there is possibility to update cam without accessing it in menu and choosing which version update you require through satelite automaticaly or manualy entered PID.
