Video but no sound

Recently I linked up a Terrestrial UHF line into my Hauppauge 4000 card. I had previously successfully used the satellite FTA service, without problems. I did not take a record of the codecs used (Damm!).

Since scanning in the terrestial channels (there is a HD option comming on line, which is what I was after), and finding all known channels I've had problems getting the DVB to output audio at all, and variable video output.

I have reinstalled the newest version of DVBViewer Pro.

I note issues with the AAC audio on the NZ system :-

Special thanks go out to RadScorpion (Igor) who adjusted his LATM capable AAC decoder to work with our file reader / demuxer filter.

You can see some information about this decoder here...

Hauppauges bundled WinTV works with both audio and video, but isn't as nice to use as DVBViewer.

Where to from here?

Tx, this did the trick. I'm still sorting out trying to get the two (Sat and Terrestrial) to work at the same time, but will try re doing the channel scan / edit routine!

Is it illegal to post the .dll here, as it took quite a lot of time to access it, even though in public domain?

Won't work, since the HVR 4000 is a hybrid DVB tuner, no dual tuner.

libfaad2.dll? Don't! Open source seems to be tolerated within limits by the licence holders. However, in case of a distribution with commercial background they will most likely claim licence fees, and then we will ask you to pay them :)
