boulder2 Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 I regularly get the problem that when I want to view a recording I find it is corrupted. The obvious sign is that it is eg. 300 Mbytes large, and should be 1,5 hours long. When I look at these recordings with eg. TSPLAYER, it turns out that DVBViewer only recorded the audio data, or the Teletext data. I normally use the "A/V disable" function. Do others also have this issue, and can you tell me what might be causing this ? I got it a couple of times on Channel 4 (8350), which is an FTA channel, so it does not seem to be CAM related. I also found a problem with my unsupported CAM (TV Vlaanderen SECA2 coding), recordings from these encrypted channels fail as well if I use the "Audio/Video disabled" function. The only way I can make sure these recordings work, is by making a "tune channel" in the scheduler first, and then enabling audio/video for that recording. It seems that if I use these two options, the channel is tuned correctly, and the file is not corrupted. My configuration is : 1 Technotrend S2-3200, 1 Hauppauge Nova-HD-S2 card, and an unsupported CAM with an official TV Vlaanderen smartcard. Quote

A couple of months ago this channel was still scrambled. Then another version of Channel 4 was created that was FTA for the Freesat platform. Now, it seems that because I programmed my recordings via the timeline it was probably choosing a "wrong" Channel 4, one that is still scrambled. I deleted these "wrong" versions, and hopefully my next recording of Channel 4 will work... However, that still does not explain why I get problems with TV Vlaanderen channels. I will post some more info from the support tool after I am sure that the Channel 4 problem is solved. Quote
