AHiemstra Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Hello all, the latest version of DVBViewer came with a special DLL for KNC cards. This DLL should solve the issue with multiple KNC One S2 cards with CAMs. It looks like this issue is not yet solved. I still get no video image when I switch to a channel on another KNC card. Can anyone do this successfully? Here are the details: Card1 has an AlphaCrypt CAM with Premiere and a swiss TV card (duo). Card2 has a CanalDigitaal CAM with Dutch TV. I set card 2 to be the preferred card for non-pay-TV. Both cards can display free-TV - see below for configuration. The issues I have are the following: When I start the system from scratch, I can tune into Premiere (card1). Scheduled recordings also work. But when I try to tune to NED1 (card 2), I get a black screen. When I do a right-click/View.../Rebuild Graph, the video of NED1 is restored. Now I can move back to Premiere (card 1) without any issues. But when I try Discovery HD, the image is black again. Without doing the Rebuild Graph, I went back to Premiere to check if I can still receive them. And yes that still worked. Moving back to Discovery HD: Still black. Doing a Rebuild Graph gives the image of Discovery HD. I then could go back to Premiere HD (card 1) without issues. Also back to NED1 (card 2) with no issues. So the issue looks like resolved. But now I get blackness when moving to Premiere HD again (card 1). It looks like 1 change from card A to B is possible after a Rebuild Graph, but not back again. I would be willing to test out any test-DLLs to solve this once and for all. I'm very eager to solve this issue. Here are my HW settings: KNC One S2+ Card 1 with CAM (AlphaCrypt TD with Premiere & Swiss Card): State:Normal Channels A (freeTV) & C (Premiere HD & Discovery HD) Stop stream while tuning: ON Has CI Module: ON Is DVB-S2 device: ON New tuning method: ON all other options are OFF Retune after missing stream: 2 secs KNC One S2+ Card 2 with CAM (CanalDigitaal): State: Preferred Channels A (freeTV & B (CanalDigitaal/NED)) Stop stream while tuning: ON Has CI Module: ON Is DVB-S2 device: ON New tuning method: ON all other options are OFF Retune after missing stream: 2 secs Regards, Arjen Quote
Lars_MQ Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Please start: DVBViewer Program group -> support -> DVBViewer (debugmode). Reproduce you problem and post a support.zip. Quote
AHiemstra Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 Bear with me Lars. I'm trying out a fix for http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=27940 first. Quote
AHiemstra Posted July 25, 2008 Author Posted July 25, 2008 Hi Lars, support.zip added. Here is what I did: Started DVBViewer. => OK. Tuned into ZDF (no CI needed). => OK. ZDF displays. Tuned into NED1 (payTV, CI needed). => ERROR. No display Tuned into NED2 (payTV, CI needed). => ERROR. No display Tuned into NED3 (payTV, CI needed). => ERROR. No display Performed Rebuild Graph in DVBViewer. => OK. NED3 displays. Tuned into NED1 (payTV, CI needed). => OK. NED1 displays. Tuned into NED2 (payTV, CI needed). => OK. NED2 displays. Tuned into NED3 (payTV, CI needed). => OK. NED3 displays. As you can see, the Rebuild Graph connects the components correctly. Of course I'm not an expert, but from the debug.log it looks like destroying hardware from card 1 sets the context to that card. Therefore the subsequent tuning does not happen correctly? But then again, I better leave this to the experts... Regards, Arjen. support.zip Quote
Lars_MQ Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 KNCBDACTRL Version: 1.0.0.0 This is the wrong file version. Try the attached one (extract the dll into the DVBViewer program folder). KNCBDACTRL.zip Quote
AHiemstra Posted August 6, 2008 Author Posted August 6, 2008 Hi Lars. I can't believe it! It is working! And I'm sure I used the special KNC DLL in my first tests. I copied it right after upgrading. That I was using it in the previous test was because I reinstalled DVBViewer from scratch to be sure all was OK and forgot to copy the DLL then. But that was after my tests... Don't understand really... The only thing I changed was my graphics driver... Anyways, I can now freely move around paytv channels. I even tested with 3 cards really: Premiere & Suisse in 1 Alphacrypt TD and CanaalDigital in another CAM/CI. Works like a charm! Thank you so much for your help! I'm reaching stability soon! Still an issue with my graphics card though... ;-) but that cannot be solved by your great team. Thanks again. You made me happy. Quote
AHiemstra Posted August 19, 2008 Author Posted August 19, 2008 Hi Lars, it appears that the issue has not been solved 100%. The issue appeared to be solved for viewing channels in DVBViewer. But I suddenly had an issue with recordings. My recordings were empty. After removing all KNCOne cards but one and apart from that changing nothing in the configuration, recording ran again. I also had freezes in the first minutes after coming back on from standby. The resolution for that was to end DVBViewer, put the computer back into standby mode and immediately bring it back on. The 2nd time coming back from standby this way the freezes did not happen. Do you want to solve this? I could work with you to figure out what happens if you want. In the mean time I have bought another DVB-S2 card in the hope to be able to record and view something else using 2 brands... Regards, Arjen. Quote
