Hauppauge HVR-4000 - No Hardware Available

Operating System: Vista Home Premium

TV Card: Hauppauge HVR-4000

Hi, Please excuse my ignorance.

I have just built a media centre and can’t get Vista MCE to display HD Channels (all other channels are displayed with no problems) hence why I have bought DVBViewer.

When DVBViewer installs it shows the hardware as - Hauppauge WinTv 88x DVB-S/S2 Tuner/Decoder

The scan channels section of the install just seems to hang. After completing the install and selecting scan channels I keep getting “NO HARDWARE AVAILABLE!”

In the hardware section there is only one Hauppauge devise to select.

Again – please excuse my ignorance but what part of the install have I done wrong ?

Regards

Chris.

Thanks to every one who has contacted me. The problem was rectified by changing the registry settings.

Hi,

Please could anyone tell me how can i to do work my Hauppaueg HVR-4000 with DVBViewer Pro, because i think i have the same problem.

Thanks

Sorry, i just read this:

Version BETA 3.9.4.10

----------------------

* New: Hybrid Tuner Support (HVR & Co) does work now. Please delete your hardware.xml in the userdata folder, so the DVBViewer does a new hardware scan.

So, i'll try to install this beta and then...
