illusion Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Hi everyone, I am using the Freecom DVB-T USB Stick. All codecs are installed and seem to be working - Cyberlink and CoreAVC. I can play MKV/H.264 Video files no problem. Am I correct in saying that I should be able to receive BBC HD and ITV HD through my DVB-T Stick? I have done numerous scans and it can not find them. What am I doing wrong? support.zip Quote

pinbot Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 (edited) Have a look: http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/articles...on-Freeview.php The DTT Test in the London Area took place in 2006 (i think) and from what i´ve seen there, it was quite impressiv for a terrestial broadcast. Griga Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I have done numerous scans and it can not find them. How? A detailed description of what you've already tried would be helpful. Maybe the frequencies are not included in the standard DVBViewer transponder lists. Use TransEdit (see members area) to check it, to add/change frequencies if necessary, to scan them and to export the results to DVBViewer. Quote
Derrick Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Wait at least another year and after that you'll have to buy new gear (DVB-T2) As of May 2008, no high definition channels are available via digital terrestrial, however, Ofcom have confirmed that from 2009 high definition TV will be available on Freeview, requiring an HD Freeview box. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freesat Quote

From what I have read, these channels can only be reached via DVB-S at the moment? Quote

Hi, on Freesat BBC HD is broadcast using DVB-S2. On Freeview the current plan is to broadcast using DVB-T2 thanks to the short sighted and bizarrely labour goverment . Freeview HD is only at the test stage with test broadcasts being made in London. Quote
