Technotrend 3200 + CI - enabling CI freezes picture

Hi all

I'm using a technotrend 3200 in my pc. Used to use altdvb, but have purchased the CI addon for my technotrend, plus a diablo cam, and altdvb doesn't cater for them. I bought DVBViewer a couple of years ago, and had read good things about the CI working, so spent yesterday setting things up again.

I was getting picture for 2-3 seconds, then it would freeze. Found out just now that if I deselect "Has CI module" in the options, my problem disappears. However, I do want to use the cam!

With "Has CI module" ticked, I can go into the cam menu.

Does anyone know a way around my problem? Am using 3.9.4 DVBViewer.

Edit : added required info and support.zip file

exact TV-card modell and useed driver version

technotrend 3200 driver 4.4.10.18

type and chipset of the mainboard

abit core 2 duo board

graphics card and useed driver version

winfast nvidia px8800 gt driver 6.14.11.6906

support.zip

Do you use the original (very short) cable between card and CI module? Did you do a crosscheck with the technotrend app for the card, to make sure it's not a hardware related problem?

Thanks for your reply Lars. Yes, I'm using the very short original cable (card and CI are in slots next to each other).

I'm having a hard time getting the original technotrend app - I've lost my cd, and when I download this file:

TT-Media Center 1.0.7.9 (12.12.2007) (Windows XP/Vista 32bit und 64bit)

from:

http://www.technotrend.com/2899/PC-Produkte.html

I load setup but it says no hardware found

I checked my driver and it was being described as skystar 2 HD - removed the device in hardware manager, and it does now show as technotrend 3200 bda, but still no luck
