chrisgeller Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 When I press E and go to the EPG, then click on Timeline, it doesn't show all the channels I've got - just a selection. Why is that? How can I make it show all the channels? I've attached my the Channel List EPG view and Timeline so you can see what I mean. Thanks Quote
hollymolly Posted August 2, 2008 Posted August 2, 2008 the answer you will get is "because it is called epg timeline". that is no listing if epg is not available. this is frustrating to me too because i want to have a one-click overview of epg and possibility to switch to channels (even if not epg availalbe but still need to zap thru from timeline). green and yellow button can be used instead with their disadvantages (green button only for channel list not favourites, yellow button does not remember favourite group and position you were in previously) you will realize that DVBViewer's weaknesses are its usability / ease of use. everyting can be done but why easy if complicated. and any requests to change this by posting suggestions here are not very much appreciated. they are programmers and have their own strong ego. chrisgeller Posted August 3, 2008 Author Posted August 3, 2008 Wow - that is really annoying. Here in the UK there's lots of channels that I'd like to have on my EPG like the news channels and music channels, without really needing exact information on what's on before I turn over. Using the channel list just doesn't cut it when I'm using a remote control and connected up to the plasma, and with ~200 channels I can't remember all the numbers either. Quote
bergh Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Hello ! Tyr EPG manager etc. They will scan all selected channels from time to time and you will have the channels in the Timeline. Quote
