Is the DVBSHOP.TV(DVBViewer engine) compatible with DVBViewer Pro?

Hi all,

 

I found some issue with DVBSHOP.TV now bundled with Technotrend products when bought from this shop.

 

It won't work at all!

 

I suspect some compatibility problem if DVBViewer Pro already installed.

 

Is that right???

It should be no problem to Install DVBSHOP.TV and DVBViewer Pro and may be DVBViewer GE although on the same PC.

 

If you install them all in there own directory.

This is the case; the installer create Program files>>DVBSho TV Player>>DVBViewer.exe

 

The point is CMUV files are created at the same place than DVBViewer Pro: Documents & settings>>all users >>application data>>CMUV as tested on another computer.

I guess the conflict is there.

 

Is it possible to change the path???

 

I can imagine in case one first instal DVBShop version then upgrade to DVBViewer Pro, everything is OK but not the opposite????

Normely DVBViewer Pro stors the configuration fils in ..\CMUV\DVBViewer.

You can not Upgrade from DVBShop to DVBViewer Pro that are to different programs. Each hat to be installed in its on directory.

Sorry Tjod, I am mistaken!

 

THere are effectively 2 directories under CMUV: DVBViewer and TV Player....so, no conflict.

 

May be my downloaded DVBShop file was corrupted. I'll try again.

I confirm the issue:

 

On my Office PC(DVBViewer Pro not present), no problem, DVBSHOP TV starts without any problem. Under CMUV>>TV Player, alle requested dat+ini files are there.

 

This is not the case on my HTPC. Both the task bar+task manager report DVBSHOP TV is running but nothing on the sreen. Certain dat+ini files are not created.

 

What kind of file shall I send??? support.zip is relative to DVBViewer Pro which work witout any issue.

I feel sorry!

 

I was mistaken like noob!

 

I am using one videoprojector in 800X600; the DVBSHOP application was out of the sreen! THis is not normal, but that happen sometime.

 

Needed to change for 1024X768 to get it appear.
