Question regarding differents "TP.ini" syntaxes

Hi all.

 

There are different sources for TP ini.

 

One of the most popular real time updated come from KingOfSat.

 

I have found different syntaxe from the one in use in DVBViewer; especialy for DVB S2..

 

Is it compatible or is it necessay to update manualy lines for correct DVBViewer working???

TransEdit (-> members area) is able to read the KingOfSat syntax (with "S2" specifying DVB-S2 transponders). Perform the following steps for converting the list to the DVBViewer syntax:

 

- Load the TP.ini with TransEdit, or let TransEdit load it automatically when launched by storing the list in the DVBViewer Configuration Folder\Transponders.

 

- Change something, e.g. by adding a transponder description.

 

- Click Save.

 

However, the KingOfSat lists do not contain additional parameters that are required for some DVB-S2 devices (Hauppauge, FireDTV), particularly modulation and pilot symbols. They must be set manually in TransEdit.
